ACID WASH

If your pool or spa has stains that do not come off with the regular cleaning service, then you may want to consider an acid wash. The effects can be quite dramatic.

Acid Washing removes a very thin layer of the pool surface. Calcium deposits that have built up over time and stubborn stains are removed in the process.

The acid wash is carried out with or without water in the pool. Better results occur when the pool is drained. Once empty. The sides of the pool and floor are scrubbed, removing as much of the stain as possible. Then muriatic acid and water are applied together to remove the thin layer of the pool surface.

We can also do an acid wash with water in the pool, this descaling of the walls and floor is achieved by changing the ph of the pool water. The pool chemical balance will be altered until the water has a very high acidic level, plus a lower alkalinity level.

Generally, the pool does not need acid washing very often. If you have stubborn stains, that is when you should consider having one done, typically, every 5 to 7 years if needed.
