Coronavirus and Swimming Pools

With Coronavirus headlining in the news at the moment, people have lots of questions. My first piece of advice is to go to the World Health Organisation website. They are updating it daily and have some excellent suggestions on how to stay safe.

I was watching one of their videos this morning regarding disinfecting and cleaning surfaces, and one question that was asked was, "is it safe to use a swimming pool, could we get infected by swimming in a public pool"? It is a great question, and it was answered by Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, who is the head of the Outbreak Investigation Task Force t Institut Pasteur's Center for Global Health and a technical consultant with World Health Organization (WHO).
