Summer is just around the corner, and as the temperature heats up, things may start to change in your pool. Water chemistry is a delicate process, and it has to correct. As the heat hits your pool evaporation takes place, causing a slight loss in water, although this usually is not a problem, it can cause problems. The chemistry in your swimming pool needs to be exact for many reasons; chlorine can do more than keep your pool clean and sparkling; if added incorrectly, it can cause health problems and skin issues. While chlorine poisoning is not common, there are a few things you should look out for if you are worried that there may be too much in your pool. Things such as skin redness, itchy eyes, or a burning sensation in your throat should not be ignored, and these are just some of the signs that your pool chemistry is incorrect. Once the hotter weather arrives, if your pool does not have an autofill, it may need to have water added. However, if you are continually adding more water, this can cause havoc on the chemistry and the quality of your water. You may, for instance, start to see signs of the pool turning green, or algae forming on the floor and walls, this is a sure sign that something is wrong. Another thing to keep an eye on is, how long you have your filter set to run. With cooler weather, the timer can run for f
ewer hours. However, when temperatures are high, it is essential to keep the water circulating. Increasing the time your filters run for will ensure a clean pool. There are many other reasons the chemistry in a swimming pool can be off, and chemistry is just one of them. A leak at any time of the year can cause
the same problem as heat. Filling a pool to correct the water level can cause a problem with chemistry.

We make sure our pool techs are thoroughly trained; they understand these seasonal differences and will adapt your pool equipment accordingly. They will also monitor your pool and alert you should any problems arise, making sure your pool does not look like this.
